آدنومیوز یک بیماری فراگیر است که در طول دوران باروری، زنان را درگیر می کند. در ده سال گذشته فرضیه های پاتوژنتیک متفاوتی جهت توضیح شروع و گسترش این بیماری شرح داده شده است. این مقاله تلاش دارد که مهمترین مکانیزم های درگیر در آدنومیوز را شرح دهد تا ارتباط بین آدنومیوز و ناباروری مشخص گردد. یک جستجو در PubMed جهت مقالات انگلیسی زبان با استفاده از واژه های :MeSH آدنومیوز، ناباروری، درمان و پاتوژنزیس انجام گرفت. اگر چه که علت واقعی آدنومیوز مشخص نیست ولی فرضیه های زیادی ارائه شده است. ما مهمترین فرضیه ها را که حاوی اثرات این بیماری بر ناباروری زنان بود را آنالیز کردیم. درک بهتر پاتوژنهای درگیر در آدنومیوز نشان داد که آدنومیوز می تواند زنان جوان را تحت تاثیر قرار داده و اثر بزرگ بر باروری آنها با مکانیزم های مختلف داشته باشد. فهم این مکانیزم ها کمک بزرگی به مشخص کردن درک مفید بودن درمان های موجود می کند.
