جنین­های اهدایی، امید دیگری برای زوجین نابارور هستند که به دلایلی امکان تولید جنین برای ایشان وجود ندارد. در جامعه­ای که اهدای تخمک به شکل تجاری مورد پذیرش قرار گرفته است، زوجین بارور می­توانند به عنوان منبعی مناسب جهت حذف کمبود جنین اهدایی به شمار آیند. در ایران، در برخی مراکز درمانی، زوج­های بارور را برای تهیه و بهره­گیری از جنین تحت روش­های پیشرفته کمک باروری قرار می­دهند. در این مقاله تلاش شده است، فواید و مضرات بهره­گیری از زوجین بارور جهت اهدای جنین را مورد مطالعه و بررسی قرار دهیم. با توجه به سهم اندک موانع قانونی و اخلاقی در استفاده از جنین­های منجمد مازاد در مقایسه با خطرات احتمالی در مواجهه با بکارگیری زوجین بارور و همچنین نظر به ملاحظات آورده شده در مقاله، توصیه می­شود تا از جنین­های اهدایی منجمد استفاده کنیم تا بدینوسیله از آسیب­های مختلف ناشی از دارو برای زوجین بارور پیشگیری کنیم. لذا لازم است که در این راستا دستورالعمل­های مناسب تهیه و تدوین گردد.
