مقدمه: سندرم تخمدان پلی­کیستیک (PCOS) با مشخصه عدم تخمک گذاری مزمن، چاقی و هیپر آندروژنیسم می­تواند در عملکرد جنسی زنان در سنین باروری تأثیرگذار باشد.
هدف: این مطالعه با هدف بررسی فراوانی و عوامل مؤثر در اختلال عملکرد جنسی در بیماران PCOS نابارور انجام شد.
مواد و روش­ها: در مطالعه مقطعی- توصیفی، 130 زن نابارور با تشخیص PCOS مراجعه کننده به درمانگاه ناباروری انتخاب شده و عملکرد جنسی آنان بر اساس حوزه­های تمایل جنسی، برانگیختگی، ارگاسم، رضایت و درد با استفاده از پرسشنامه  FSFI(Female Sexual Function Index) مورد بررسی قرار گرفت .
نتایج: فراوانی اختلال جنسی در 7/57% از زنان PCOS نابارور بود که در حوزه تمایل جنسی و برانگیختگی به ترتیب در 99/2% و 98/5% از نمونه­ها گزارش گردید. BMI در حوزه­های تمایل جنسی و بر انگیختگی تاثیر قابل ملاحظه­ای داشت داشت (0/02=p). هیرسوتیسم در همه ابعاد به جز دیس پارونی تأثیر داشت (0/001>p).
 نتیجه­گیری: بیماران PCOS بطور قابل ملاحظه­ای از اختلال عملکرد جنسی به عنوان یک عارضه رنج می­برند و بنظر می­رسد که غربالگری مناسب اختلال عملکرد جنسی در بیماران با این سندرم با یک پرسشنامه ساده کوتاه نظیر FSFI انجام شود و با مداخلات هدفمند همراه با درمان­های دیگر جهت بهبود کیفیت زندگی این بیماران در نظر گرفته شود.
