مقدمه: تخمین شیوع اختلالات قاعدگی جهت برنامه‌ریزی خدمات بهداشتی-درمانی و شناخت عوامل خطر این اختلالات از اهمیت ویژه‌ای برخوردار است.
هدف: هدف از این مطالعه مروری ساختار یافته­شناسایی و تجمیع شیوع اختلالات قاعدگی در ایران است.
موارد و روش ­ها: مطالعات مرتبط با جستجو در شش پایگاه داده و بررسی ارجاعات و رفرنس‌های مقالات مورد نظر شناسایی شدند. عنوان، خلاصه و متن کامل مقالات توسط دو مرورگر به طور مستقل مورد بازبینی قرار گرفت. جهت یکپارچه‌سازی داده‌ها از متاآنالیز با اثر تصادفی استفاده شد.
نتایج: پس از بررسی عنوان، چکیده و متن کامل مقالات تعداد 35 مقاله در آنالیز نهایی وارد و تعداد 21344 نمونه از زنان سنین باروری وارد متاآنالیز شد. شیوع کلی دیسمنوره در ایران بر مبنای مدل تصادفی 73/277% با فاصله اطمینان (81/42-65/12) 95% برآورد گردید. شیوع کلی الیگومنوره 13/11% با فاصله اطمینان (19/16-10/04) 95% برآورد گردید. شیوع پلی‌منوره، هیپرمنوره، هیپومنوره، منوراژی، متروراژی و آمنوره ثانویه به ترتیب معادل (12/56-7/33  CI=95%) 94/9%، ( 16/57%-9/31%  CI=95%) 12/94%، (7/30%-3/20%  CI=95%) 5/25%، (25/69-12/78 CI=95%) 19/24%، و (10/08-1/99  CI=95%) 6/044%، بدست آمد.
نتیجه­ گیری: اختلالات قاعدگی در میان زنان ایرانی از شیوع بالایی برخوردار است و به عنوان یک مشکل اساسی سلامت باروری زنان که تبعات نامطلوب اقتصادی و اجتماعی بسیار دارد مورد غفلت واقع شده است. تشخیص و درمان این اختلالات به­ویژه در کشورهای درحال توسعه مانند ایران باید در نظام مراقبت‌های اولیه بهداشتی و درمانی سلامت تولیدمثل گنجانده شود.
