مقدمه: سندرم تخمدان پلی­کیستیک یک اختلال غدد درون ریز می­باشد که می­تواند با بسیاری از عوارض همراه باشد. ابتلا به این سندرم نگرانی رو به رشد در میان نوجوانان در سراسر جهان است، گزارش­های مختلف از شیوع آن در نقاط مختلف جهان همراه است.
هدف:. این مطالعه مرور سیستماتیک و متاآنالیز با هدف تعیین شیوع سندرم تخمدان پلی­کیستیک در نوجوانان انجام شده است.
موارد و روش­ها: در این مطالعه مقالات چاپ شده به زبان انگلیسی بدون اعمال محدودیت زمانی در پایگاه­های (Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science, Emabse and Cochrane) در ژانویه 2019 مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. در این مطالعه تعداد 12 مقاله که معیارهای ورود به مطالعه را داشتند مورد برررسی کیفیت سنجی قرار گرفتند و نمره بالاتر از 5 وارد متاآنالیز شدند. سوگیری چاپ مطالعات با Egger و Begg's تست بررسی شد. جهت آنالیز داده­ها از نرم­افزار STATA 1/11 استفاده شد.
نتایج: دوازده مطالعه مورد متاآنالیز قرار گرفت. تعداد کل شرکت­کنندگان در این مطالعه 149،477 نفر بود. متوسط نمره کیفیت در تمام مطالعات 67/8 (محدوده 5 تا 10) بود. شیوع سندرم تخمدان پلی­کیستیک در نوجوانان براساس معیارهای روتردام، 04/11% (فاصله اطمینان 95% : 84/6-09/16 %) بود، براساس معیار مؤسسه ملی بهداشت، 39/3% (فاصله اطمینان 95%: 82/0-54/9%) و براساس انجمن فزونی آندروژن سندرم تخمدان پلی­کیستیک، 03/8% (فاصله اطمینان 95% :24/6-01/10%) بود.
نتیجه­ گیری: نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد که شیوع سندرم تخمدان پلی­کیستیک در نوجوانان براساس معیارهای مختلف متفاوت است؛ ما انجام مطالعات بیشتر مبتنی بر جامعه را در میان نوجوانان در نقاط مختلف جهان پیشنهاد می­کنیم.
