مقدمه: سندرم تخمدان پلی­کیستیک (PCOS)، شایع­ترین اختلال اندوکرینی است که زنان سنین باروری را مبتلا می­نماید. اخیرا توجه خاصی نسبت به استفاده از آنتی­اکسیدان­ها به عنوان درمان کمکی این سندرم به وجود آمده است.
هدف: هدف از این مطالعه مروری پاسخ به این سوال است که بر اساس کارآزمایی­های بالینی انجام شده در ایران، آیا آنتی­اکسیدان­ها بر درمان زنان مبتلا به سندرم تخمدان پلی­کیستیک مؤثر هستند یا خیر.
مواد و روش­ها: این مطالعه به مرور سیستماتیک کارآزمایی­های بالینی انجام شده در ایران که در پایگاه­های اطلاعاتی فارسی و یا بین­المللی شامل PubMed، SID، Google Scholar، Magiran، Iran Medex تا نوامبر 2013 نمایه شده بودند، می­پردازد. واژگان کلیدی استفاده شده در این مطالعه عبارت بودند از سندرم تخمدان پلی­کیستیک، PCOS، ایران، ویتامین و آنتی اکسیدان.
نتایج: 43 مطالعه مرتبط که دارای شراط ورود به این مطالعه مروری بودند، یافت شد. 29 مطالعه به دلیل تکراری بودن و 3 مطالعه نیز به دلیل عدم دسترسی به متن کامل مقاله حذف شدند. در نهایت، 11 مطالعه مورد مرور سیستماتیک قرار گرفتند که از بین آنها 7 مقاله به زبان انگلیسی و 4 مقاله به زبان فارسی بود.
نتیجه­گیری: نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد که آنتی­اکسیدان­ها و ویتامین­ها بر درمان سندرم تخمدان پلی­کیستیک و یا عوارض ناشی از آن تأثیر مثبت داشته­اند. اگرچه به نظر می­رسد در این زمینه هنوز هم نیاز به مطالعات بیشتری احساس می­شود.
